The Impact of Store Maintenance on Customer Acquisition and Retention
Making retail maintenance and facility management easy for you
A tidy, attractive, well-kept sales floor is one of the first “commandments” of a successful retail business. Nobody is going to want to spend any time – or any of their hard-earned cash – in an unpleasant environment. A store’s physical appearance reflects directly on the quality of the products for sale, so it’s critical that retail executives dedicate sufficient resources towards store maintenance and upkeep. This is especially true in today’s market, where omnichannel is the name of the game: Your stores’ physical appearances are expected to keep up with your brand’s cutting-edge digital experience.

STORECARE was created by a desire to fill a gap in the retail facility market. Retail maintenance has traditionally been a service that shopfitters have reluctantly and haphazardly had to offer their clients. STORE CARE is dedicated specifically to offer retail maintenance and we have a completely fresh and innovative approach to ensure all jobs are completed with a minimum of effort for our clients. STORE CARE’S directors have a combined experience in the shopfitting industry of over 30 years. STORE CARE has a national network of pre-qualified contractors that are committed to providing the best service to our clients for the best value.

Scheduled maintenance
Our system of routine inspections are designed to identify problems before they become large urgent issues that are often very costly to repair. One particular area of a store fit out that can benefit greatly from scheduled maintenance is the roller shutters. Regular servicing of a roller shutter can keep it working for up to ten years; however if not serviced damage can result in the door
(or at least the curtain or drum) to be replaced.
Reactive maintenance
This service is maintenance on demand. Store Care’s systems will enable urgent issues
to be attended to on a daily basis, however
if the maintenance issue is not urgent then we will attend to it within 5 working days
In light of the developments regarding COVID-19, we would like to first say that our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the virus in South Africa and around the world. We wish everyone strength and fortitude during this difficult time and urge you to prioritize the health and safety of yourselves, your families and others in your community as some sectors start their move back to work under Level 4 lockdown restrictions. Thank you and salute to the frontline workers, medical staff, truck drivers and other essential services employees working tirelessly behind the scenes. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live, study, work and connect with each other, it has also brought to light, the characteristic strength and compassion South Africans share. United, South Africa will prevail. In the words of Nelson Mandela; “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” As the slightly relaxed Level-4 lockdown restrictions allow for some businesses to return to work, companies will be responsible for constantly creating awareness and implementing good practices to curb the spread of the Coronavirus in order to create a safe working environment for employees, contractors and the public.
